Take a walk exploring the wonders of Ithaca’s rich natural and cultural heritage This entirely foot-based 1 ¾ mile loop includes visits to many of the unique landmarks and natural features that are the bones of this city, as well as two of the gorge creeks that are its life blood. Stroll through a city with a former Yosemite National Park ranger-naturalist and Finger Lakes native. Discover a place where the Underground Railroad, paddleboards, trolleys, stagecoaches, steamboats and shared cars have all been legitimate methods of transportation. We say that “Ithaca is gorges,”but it is so much more! Learn how people and place, along with nature and culture have come together in ways that have defined a city with a unique spirit and soul.
(2.5 hours, 1 ¾ miles, not particularly strenuous; involving paved walkways and one very short uphill).
Price: $35 per person with a minimum guest count of 3 total guests. For parties of 2 guests, this tour is offered for a flat rate of $99. Once the minimum number of 3 guests has been reached, children ages 8-12 are $25. Tour is not suitable for children 7 and under.
