What does riesling, hummus, pork belly, pinot noir, artisan cheese, chardonnay, kimchi, belgian lager, and milk all have in common? Aside from being delicious, these are just some of the amazing food and beverages being made in the Finger Lakes by Cornell alumni!

Join Cornell Alum and Certified Sommelier, Laura Winter Falk ( ’87, ’95, ’97) and Chef Samantha Buyskes for a 5-course paired tasting lunch featuring dishes created with alumni-made ingredients and paired with alumni-made wines and beer. Samantha is a Finger Lakes chef and regional ambassador who has competed on Food Network’s Chopped, and has cooked at the James Beard House in New York City. Laura is owner of Experience! The Finger Lakes, a wine tour and events company ranked as one of the best in the country, and a Professor of Wine for Coltivare’s wine marketing program.

During this demonstration lunch together, Samantha and Laura will share the stories behind the products, the alums who have created them, and quality and characteristics they share to make them perfect for this pairing lunch.

Winter, Wine, and Lunch

This full-day tour features all the best that our classic tours have to offer, from stunning views to exquisite wines. Visit three wineries, explore their vineyards and production facilities, and enjoy enhanced, private tastings with selected experiential pairings. Lunch is also included.

This guided tour will include our winery partners from our main season Cayuga West  or Across Seneca tours. Selected wineries for specific days will be determined based on availability and guest pick up locations.
