Join Certified Sommelier Laura Winter Falk for a 2-hour deep dive into the wines of 6 Long Island producers. Last November, she spent two days meeting the top producers in the area and tasting their wines, and was blown away!
During this session you will:
- Learn about eastern Long Island’s terroir cool maritime influences with sandy, loamy soils and its impact on its wines.
- Discover six of the most exciting producers. Hear the story behind each of these farm wineries and the passion they each bring to their winemaking.
- Taste six distinctive wines from Traditional Method sparkling and mineral-driven whites to bold and expressive reds. Learn about the European varietals that thrive in Long Island’ distinctive climate and terroir.
- Experience each of the wines paired with sommelier-selected foods from the farms and food producers in Long Island and Metro New York, including cheese, charcuterie and caviar!
