This curated experience on the west side of Cayuga Lake gives you an in-depth look into the different styles of winemaking. Experience exclusive and elevated tastings curated by our sommelier at three unique wineries. Tour vineyards and production areas. Witness stunning views at each winery.

Curated tours of 4-6 guests are private tasting experiences at each winery. Parties of two could include a second party of two at each of your tastings. We book the reservations for you and send you the itinerary complete with times of each reservation. We give you vetted recommendations for lunch and transportation.

All The Details:

Your day will begin at Buttonwood Grove Winery, owned by Dave and Melissa Pittard since 2014. At this winery, recognized for their use of traditional techniques and sustainable practices, you will receive a private, behind-the-scenes tour of the vineyard and/or winemaking process. After your tour, you will experience a private tasting featuring a curated selection of wines with a local cheese pairing.

After your lunch (we recommend our favorite place to eat), you will head to Six Eighty Cellars, where you will experience a guided tasting at one of the most distinctive wineries in the Finger Lakes. Choose from their extensive list of wines, and a team member will guide you through the impact of different winemaking techniques on the classic Finger Lakes varietals selected. The tasting comes with an artisan cheese and charcuterie board to explore pairing combinations with your wines. Afterwards, receive an exclusive walkthrough of the cellar to see the array of unique fermentation vessels used in their winemaking.

Your last stop will be Bet the Farm Winery. This is a boutique mom & pop winery owned by winemaker Nancy Tisch and vineyard manager Kit Kalfs. Experience great views, amazing hospitality and fabulous wines. Your owner-guided tasting is amplified with stories and masterfully curated wine and chocolate pairings. Savor some of their estate reds wines, tantalizing whites and award-winning blends.

Transportation Recommendations

We are partnering with two reputable transportation companies vetted for their excellent service. At your request when you book your tour, they will contact you to get transportation needs all taken care of.

Quality Wine Tours (585-455-8294) offers transportation for parties of 2-6 guests Mondays through Saturdays.

Big D’s Limo (315-730-5931) offers transportation for parties of 2 – 6 guests plus larger groups seven days a week.

We have done 2 curated wine tours with Experience! the Finger Lakes (2022 and 2025) and really enjoyed both. Each time, the 3 vineyards that were chosen suited our tastes and the people we met were knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the winemaking process as well as the history of winemaking in the Finger Lakes. We have done wine tastings in other regions both in the US and internationally and the overall experience here is very similar to what we have had in some of the best wine regions in the world. Whether you are new to wine tasting or more seasoned, you can trust Experience! the Finger Lakes to put together a truly enjoyable day. The area really is beautiful and they do a fantastic job of finding some of the smaller, higher quality vineyards that you may not pick out on your own. Oh, and while the area is known for whites, we are both red wine drinkers and found plenty of things to enjoy (and buy), so make sure to speak up about your preferences and they can definitely steer you in the right direction!
