Frequently Asked Questions

  • What type of service do you provide?
  • We are a full service touring company providing fully guided public wine and sightseeing experiences in and around the Finger Lakes region. We also provide receptive services for charter groups, and custom touring opportunities for corporate or conference events. Wine pairing events are also available for private parties or large public gatherings.

  • I see there is not a tour listed on my preferred date. What should I do?
  • Give us a call! Our touring calendar is primarily based on guest interest. If you do not see a tour listed online, chances are we have availability and can accommodate your group. Please be in touch at 607-233-4818 and we would be happy to discuss touring availability and options for your party.

  • What type of transportation do you provide?
  • All our touring takes place in our 13 passenger touring vans. We do not provide private cars or sedans. With 13 as our maximum number, this ensures an intimate atmosphere with highly personalized service on each one of our tours. If your guest number exceeds 13, we can either provide multiple vans for your party or contract with a local bus company to meet your needs.

  • Can I select the winery locations we wish to visit?
  • All our winery locations reflected in our public wine tour programs are predetermined. These locations are based on the partnerships we have created in the Finger Lakes area to provide the highest level of service possible to our guests. However, custom private touring options are available for groups by special request. Please contact us at 607-233-4818 for more information.

  • What happens if we do not reach the required guest minimum for my tour?
  • To offer the price per person advertised on our website, we require a total of 5 guests in order to run each of our wine tours and a four guest minimum to run any of our Ithaca and waterfall tours. If we do not reach this minimum, we will contact you the week of the tour. At that time, we can 1) provide you with custom pricing to be able to take your group out below the minimum, 2) switch your reservation to an alternate touring option, or 3) cancel your reservation without charges.

  • What is your cancellation policy?
  • For public touring parties of 1-4, you may cancel up to 8 days prior to the tour without charges. If you cancel within 7-2 days of your scheduled tour, you will incur a 100% fee but receive a 50% credit toward a future tour of your choice. If you cancel within 1 business day of your scheduled tour, full charges will be incurred.

For public or private parties of 5 and up, you may cancel up to 31 days prior to the tour without charges. If you cancel within 30-8 days of the tour, you will incur a 50% fee. If you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled tour, full charges will be incurred.

*Please note: please see our full cancellation policy for Private Groups, Packages, and Events.

  • What happens if inclement weather arises? Do you cancel for snow storms or rain storms?
  • Our wine tours go out rain or shine. We will only cancel in the event of severe weather that makes driving unsafe, such as flooding, sleet and ice, 3+ inches of snow, or high winds. Our gorge tours will go out in a light rain, but we will cancel for heavy rain or thunderstorms. If a tour is cancelled, we will contact you by phone the day before your tour or the morning of the tour.

  • What if I cannot make it into town due to weather conditions in my area?
  • We would be happy to reschedule your tour or provide you with full credit to be used at a later point in the season.

  • What do I wear on a wine tour?
  • Our wine tours are casual, so dress as you are comfortable. It is best to wear comfortable footwear. Many of the wineries do not have air conditioning, so for summer wine tasters, please dress accordingly. In the event of rain, we will provide ponchos and umbrellas, but bringing along a light jacket on rainy or windy days is a great idea.

  • I left an item behind in the touring van. Can it be shipped to me?
  • Yes. We will need your shipping address and credit card number to take care of the charges. We are happy to ship it through the US postal service.

  • I am pregnant and cannot partake in the wine tastings. Do you offer a discount?
  • In lieu of a discount, we provide substitute non-alcoholic beverages at each winery or brewery location. These consist of locally produced grape juice and natural soda. We are committed to making sure your time with us is as comprehensive and enjoyable as possible.

  • Are children permitted on the wine tours?
  • We do not encourage young children on our wine tours. For those 17 and up, we will provide substitute beverages, consisting of locally produced grape juice and natural soda.

  • Are pets permitted on the tours?
  • No, we do not allow pets on any of our tours.

  • Absolutely. We offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, nut free, and egg free wine pairing and snack options. We work closely with our regional chefs to provide the highest quality meal experience possible. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know as far in advance as possible, so we can prepare appropriately.

  • Someone in my party has mobility restrictions. Can you accommodate?
  • Those with mobility restrictions must decide for themselves, based on their own capability, what type of touring experience best suits their needs. Unfortunately, we are not handicapped accessible. Our wine tours require our guests to step in and out of a 13 passenger touring van. Our waterfall tours vary in difficulty level from very easy to moderately strenuous. If you have specific concerns or questions, please call us at 607-233-4818.
