For 19 years, Experience! The Finger Lakes has been offering premier guided wine tour experiences in the Finger Lakes region. As the number of wineries producing extraordinary wines continues to grow, the potential for us to create new elevated winery experiences has also expanded. In order to make more of the region’s best winery experiences available to our guests, now offer our Curated Winery Tour program!!

Experience! The Finger Lakes Curated Winery Tours are uniquely designed, elevated winery itineraries that create a day of enhanced wine tastings and immersive experiences at the top wineries in the region.

 You can book 2-6 guests on the curated wine tour of your choice offered on a given day.  Curated tours of 4-6 guests are usually private tasting experiences at each winery. Parties of two could have a second party at each of your tastings. 

Curated tours are fully planned for you so all you have to do is immerse yourself and enjoy:

  • You will get an itinerary that includes two to three scheduled and prepaid winery experiences and lunch suggestions at our favorite eateries.
  • All winery experiences are elevated tastings and provide unique opportunities typically not available to the public or any other tour company.
  • At least one winery visit will include an immersive behind-the-scene experience such as a vineyard walk, production tour, or unique sampling opportunities.
  • All tastings will include one or more food and wine pairings designed to showcase the magic behind pairing with intention.
  • Many of our winery partners will offer special discounts or promotions on wine purchases available only to Experience! The Finger Lakes guests.
  • If you need transportation, we recommend two vetted transportation companies in the area that you can contact.

Curated Winter, Wine and Munch on Cayuga

This special curated tour features three premium experiences during the winter months (February through end of April). All three locations are accessible from Watkins Glen, Ithaca, Geneva and East Cayuga. You will start with your first appointment at 11:00 am. You will have light food options at each winery to enjoy with your wine selections. You have the option to drive yourself or book with one of our recommended transportation companies.

Curated Cayuga Westside tour returning guest

We have done 2 curated wine tours with Experience! the Finger Lakes (2022 and 2025) and really enjoyed both. Each time, the 3 vineyards that were chosen suited our tastes and the people we met were knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the winemaking process as well as the history of winemaking in the Finger Lakes. We have done wine tastings in other regions both in the US and internationally and the overall experience here is very similar to what we have had in some of the best wine regions in the world. Whether you are new to wine tasting or more seasoned, you can trust Experience! the Finger Lakes to put together a truly enjoyable day. The area really is beautiful and they do a fantastic job of finding some of the smaller, higher quality vineyards that you may not pick out on your own. Oh, and while the area is known for whites, we are both red wine drinkers and found plenty of things to enjoy (and buy!), so make sure to speak up about your preferences and they can definitely steer you in the right direction!
