Our most popular Seneca Lake tour focuses on three wineries that produce beautifully crafted vinifera wines on the eastern shores of Seneca Lake, along with a unique tasting and lunch experience.
Quick Details
This tour gives guests the opportunity to experience some of the best wine on Seneca Lake visiting both the west and east sides of the lake on the same tour.
Our first stop will include an interactive vineyard and/or production tour at Lakewood Vineyards. You will learn about the process of making wine from soil to grape to bottle to wine glass. After the tour you will have a curated tasting experience with a member of the Lakewood family. Owned by the Stamp family since the 1950’s you will benefit from their family knowledge of agriculture as well as wine producing while you sip their wines from the deck or tasting room.
After your first immersive experience and tasting, you will be hosted for a locally-sourced lunch with seasonal flavors from Blackberry Cafe in Watkins Glen. You will chose from their prepared menu just for our groups.
After lunch we will visit wineries on the Eastside of Seneca Lake. A guided tasting E!FLX curated just for our groups with an experiential pairing with locally crafted chocolate awaits you. Enjoy a special wine tasting at Damiani Wine Cellars. Damiani is known for consistently having some of the best red wines in the region. Your tasting will be paired with locally-made, hand-crafted chocolate, carefully curated to match Damiani’s award-winning red and white varietal wines
Your last stop will also be on the east side of Seneca Lake. Another stunning flight of wines waits for you at Flatt Rock Cellars. Owners Dave and Darla will greet you in the tasting room or barrel room. Dave then guides you through a tasting that celebrates the winemaking-style of France, particularly beautiful bottle-aged reds. A locally-made chocolate is paired with a specially-selected red wine to showcase the magic of a carefully curated wine pairing.
