Cayuga Lake is Gorges Hike and Wine Tour with Lunch
This tour is available in two different options:
Shared Tour: Small, guided experience for up to 7 guests (2-3 different households) with knowledgeable wine professional tour guide. This is the enhanced shared group experience for which we are known, now in an extra small format.
Traditional Private Tour:Â The high-quality experience you have come to expect in an E!FLX tour, now available as a private experience for 2-7 people. Comes with $15 of “Bottle Bucks” per person, that serves as cash towards wine purchases at all stops.

We start the morning with a serene 1.5 mile roundtrip hike through a gorge that is carved by the waters of the 215 ft high Taughannock Falls, the tallest waterfalls drop east of the Mississippi! Your certified naturalist tour guide will share the natural history and geology of our region and how these features directly impact the wines you will be enjoying later in the afternoon.
We head to lunch at Finger Lakes Cider House. If you care to add a specialty beverage there you may at an additional cost. Their farm: Good Life Farm, grows almost all of the food served in their wonderful lunches.
With bellies full and palates primed, we begin our wine experience.
Our first stop is Buttonwood Grove Winery which has been owned by Dave and Melissa Pittard since 2014. They host us beautifully any time of year with a private tasting, featuring a curated wine list with a local cheese pairing.
Our second stop is Bet the Farm Winery. Bet the Farm is a small boutique winery with great views, amazing hospitality and fabulous wines. Owner and wine maker Nancy Tisch and her partner, husband and General Manager Kit Kalfs will greet you and wow you with their hand-crafted wines and curated pairings.
Note: We recommend comfortable walking shoes for this tour. We will walk 1.5 miles round trip with multiple stops. The gorge trail is flat and wide and suitable for all walking ability levels.
*Please note that on occasions, our regularly scheduled  partners on this itinerary may be unavailable and will be substituted with equally amazing winery.

On private tours we provide custom pick-up and drop-off at your preferred location (additional fees may apply).

Guest Minimum and Maximum on Shared Tours
All Shared Tours require a minimum of 4 total guests in order to run the tour at the listed price. These tours will typically consist of 2-3 separate parties joining together in a shared experience, offering exceptional value for couples and small groups.
In the event that the 4 guest minimum is not met, we will contact you one week prior to the scheduled date where you will be offered the following options depending on the number of guests currently booked:
- Upgrade to a shorter private afternoon tour just for you
- Reschedule the tour for a future date at no penalty
- Cancel the reservation and receive a full refund
